 The Creative Process

The creative process began with the creation of the show and the rundown work that went into it. For Jacob, it was all about designing graphics and writing a script. After various attempts at graphics and lots of feedback, Jacob made a few full-page boards and name keys for Parasport Pathways. When it came to scripting, it was all about being authentic and making it sound natural. Working with his co-host.Jacob Moore, Jacob after some creative storyboarding the script began. After various rough drafts, the two Jacobs were able to get it done and have a well-polished script.

Information

Parasport Pathways was a thirty-minute broadcast aimed at bringing light to the Paralympics and specifically Canadian Paralympians. The show includes highlights, discussions, and two feature stories with Canadian Paralympic athletes. Jacob has a few key roles in making the Parasport Pathways show run, like hosting, designing, and aiding in the creation of the feature stories. But we'll get into all that down below. A creative problem arose when the group producing Parasport Pathways could not get a second feature, which was required for their show. After weeks of being ignored by various athletes, Jacob continued to message all sorts of Paralympians and eventually got lucky. Getting into contact with Para Ice Hockey player Rob Armstrong and after some convincing Jacob was able to acquire Rob Armstrong for the final feature story,

Parasport Pathways was a show created in the first semester of Jacob Cullen's second year at Toronto Metropolitan University. Aimed to illuminate the Paralympics and Canadian Paralympians. Jacob was the main Anchor for this show, writing his script and developing ideas and how the show was going to run. In addition to aiding in the graphics that played throughout the show, Jacob played a few crucial roles in the development of the 30-minute Parasport Pathways broadcast. Including being the one to interview Rob Armstrong the Canadian Paralympic Hockey player.
